On 8 January 2025, the ‘Osaka Zenrokyo 2025 Hatabiraki (Flag Raising Party)’ was held at the Osaka PLP Hall, where more than 40 union members and guests gathered.

Greetings from the Zenrokyo HQ, representatives of the Solidarity Union Kinki Regional HQ and the Osaka branch of the All Japan Dockworker’s Union, as well as from Social Democratic Party (SDP) House of Councilors deputy Yuko Ohtsubaki and Osaka Prefectural Assembly member Ai Nonoue of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan followed, interspersed with toasts and socializing.A message from Kiyomi Tsujimoto, a member of the House of Councilors of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, was also introduced.

Seven unions affiliated with the Osaka Zenrokyo, including the General Union, reported on their struggles and expressed their ambitions for the year ahead. The meeting was closed with three chants of ‘Unite, Ganbarou’.
