Under the Technical Intern Training Program, which continues to be criticized as a modern-day slavery system, the practice of making stillbirths by trainees into criminal cases has been repeated many times in the past. 

Due to pressure from her sending organization, Ms. Nguyet was told she would have to leave the country and would not be able to work if she became pregnant. Unfortunately this pressure led  to the criminalization of the stillborn birth of her child.

This petition from The Support Group for Ms. Nguyet, based in Fukuoka, demands a verdict of “not guilty” in her case. Sign the petition below and show your solidarity.
