May 2, 2025

On May 1st, members of the General Union demonstrated their commitment to workers’ rights by participating in May Day events across Japan. In Osaka and Tokyo, union members turned out in force, joining marches and rallies to show solidarity with labor movements with fellow unions. Their presence underscored the union’s continued fight for fair treatment, better conditions, and respect for all workers, regardless of nationality or employment status.

Meanwhile in Fukuoka, General Union members took to the streets not just to demonstrate, but to offer direct support. They set up public consultations to assist individuals with labor-related issues, providing on-the-spot guidance about workplace rights, contract concerns, and more. This hands-on approach highlights the union’s deep-rooted commitment to empowering workers through knowledge and support.

From Kanto to Kyushu, General Union members stood together to reaffirm their shared values of dignity, fairness, and solidarity for all.
