Upcoming 6th Labor Consultation Volunteer Training Course Information

May 19, 2024

Please note this is a Japanese language event

The 6th “Labor Consultation Volunteer Training Course” will be held on Sunday, May 26, from 2:00 p.m.
The theme of this lecture is “Where is the consultation counter for labor problems?”

When receiving actual labor consultation, depending on the content of the consultation, we may introduce you to a government office, or we may visit a consultation office together with you. However, it is really important to know what kind of contact or administration points are available.

Please see the attached document for a list. Then, in this lecture, instead of explaining this list, we would like to have a discussion based on the list, asking you to suggest where to go in different cases, considering your own experiences and the situations of your acquaintances and friends.

Through this exchange of ideas, we would like to deepen more active discussion and learning.
For example, how should you apply for childcare/nursing care leave? Is the childcare leave allowance paid automatically?

Our lecturer for this event will be Mr. Toshiaki Asari, General Union Chair. Needless to say, he has a wealth of experience and will provide accurate advice.

This will be the 6th and final session of the consultation training course. Therefore, we would like to give a “certificate of completion” to those who have participated so far as a token of our appreciation. We also hope that you will listen to the voices of the people around you by providing labor consultation at your respective locations, making use of the wisdom you have acquired in the six lectures.

The General Union is planning the following activities in the future:

  • Start the second phase of the “Labor Consultation Volunteer Training Course”.
  • Provide face-to-face labor consultation once a month.
  • Distribute flyers saying “Labor consultation available!”

We would like to decide on the details of the program after listening to the opinions of the participants. If you have any ideas, please feel free to suggest them!
