The General Union has sued Nishio, Aichi based Brighton House English School at the Osaka Labour Relations Commission for unfair contract non-renewal and dismissal of union members.

The company says that it must reduce staff due to slow business. Which staff did they reduce? Well, all of the union members. Regardless of the fact that our members have worked with the company for longer than some non-union workers AND one of our union members is on an unlimited term contract and therefore ineligible for contract non-renewal in the first place.
