Our “Individual Organising Training” is back with new dates for July & August! Designed to give you the tools and confidence to take action.
In our 50-minute session, you’ll learn how to start meaningful conversations with your coworkers about unionising, share information effectively, and connect them to union support.
What’s Covered in the Training
- Understand your right to organise under Japanese law
- Learn how to talk to coworkers in a natural, non-pushy way
- Spot opportunities to build collective strength
- Use union tools and support systems to help others get involved
Whether you’re brand new to the union or looking to sharpen your skills, this session will meet you where you’re at.
Real Results from Real Members
Members across Japan are already putting this training into action.
At Okinawa International School, one member started with the “Individual Organising Training”. Just months later, they helped launch a workplace organising team, declared union membership, and began collective bargaining with management.
At Altia Central, working under the Kyoto Prefectural Board of Education, a member completed the training, brought in coworkers, and continued with the workplace organising course. The result? A growing union presence and active negotiations with both Altia Central and the Board of Education.
Our training programme has been so successful that our national union is now adopting the same model to help revitalise the labour movement across Japan.
It Only Takes One
Many of our strongest campaigns began with just one person taking the first step.
You don’t need a crowd to begin — just the willingness to talk to others. Take this training, get a few people together, and follow the lead of members at Okinawa International School, Altea Central, and other workplaces who turned conversations into union power.
