April 11, 2023 was the third and final witness examination in our unfair labor practices. It was a rather quiet examination and cross-examination of the school’s witness, especially as the school side lawyer wasn’t banging on the tables as he had done in the past.
The employer was asked yet again if they would agree to enter into mediation before a final decision was reached, and their answer was NO (despite the union’s response that we are always willing to achieve a fair compromise) We have two current cases in the Labour Commission against NIS.
After the results of these two trials, the union is considering further legal and other actions. GU doesn’t allow unfair labor practices and we fight it out till the end.
