In this sector alone, our members work at over a hundred-and-fifty different workplaces. Suffice to say, we deal with many issues in this sector of the union’s demographic. Contract limits; “koma” cuts; harassment issues; job security; holidays; wages… these are just a few of the multitude of problems which employees in this sector face.

However, the General Union is not JUST open to foreign workers – we have Japanese members in these workplaces, too, and the General Union recognises the need to organise ALL workers in universities, regardless of their employment status (full- or part-time; Japanese or foreign; etc.)
