Paid Special Leave. While many employees have access to pay for marriage, funerals, and other important life events, ECC doesn’t believe that teachers are to be trusted to use this leave honestly!
An across the board pay raise. Despite the fact that under the Trade Union Law a company must negotiate with a union, ECC says that they don’t recognize members’ rights to negotiate pay collectively because the union represents one year contract workers.
So now we’re calling on members to send ECC a message they won’t forget
On 19 April, in both Kansai and Chubu (who can participate via skype) we’ll be asking members to attend the branch meeting, check the progress in regards to collective bargaining, and then set a deadline for when our negotiations turn into a dispute.
We hope that this message will give ECC a chance to reach a fair deal with the union. We can’t keep bargaining forever.
