Cocojuku is a new, and expanding, chain of language schools, owned by Nichii Gakkan. Nichii Gakkan are also the owners of Gaba.

In a surprise move for the eikaiwa industry, Cocojuku requires all employees, including foreign teachers, to be members of the in-house union. The General Union is concerned as in-house unions in Japan are notorious for not representing the interests of employees but those of the company.
