The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Labour requires employers to accurately record working times, including actual start and finish times. The Labour Standards Act also stipulates the necessary requirements for paying overtime.

With KEW preparation time being reduced, changing curriculum and the number of private lessons increasing the General Union recommends that you touch in when you start working, and touch out when you finish working. This creates a true record of your work time if you wish to claim for unpaid wages. It also sends ECC management a message that extra time is required to adequately prepare and provide our students with high quality lessons.
