Berlitz members meet to plan bargaining strategy

Feb 11, 2014

It seems that members may have already made a break through in the Umeda school over more pay for locks ups. Representation for union members in disciplinary meetings also appears to be on the road to being solved.

Members will decide this weekend whether to continue their push for a pay increase, whether to decrease the amount of the demand, and what strategy to pursue if they decide to continue. On the pay for non-lesson time issue, union members have been negotiating and taking action over this demand for many years now and there may have finally been a breakthrough in Tokyo where the Labour Standards Office has become involved.

More information regarding demands, negotiations, and the Tokyo issue will follow.
