DO NOT PUBLISH IR Gaba members seek Unemployment Insurance

Aug 25, 2010

One of the many benefits that Gaba currently denies instructors, by claiming they are not employees, is unemployment insurance. Those who work over 20 hours per week, as many Gaba instructors do, should be enrolled. On August 18th, members lodged kakunin seikyu*, to seek official confirmation from the Shibuya Shokuanteisho (Hello Work) regarding their eligibility for unemployment insurance based on GABA controlling, ordering, and training instructors. The more complaints, investigations, and applications for benefits that are made, the quicker we can improve the situation of instructors at Gaba.
