Why on draft? Protection against arbitrary dismissal and contract non-renewal

Currently, under Article 20.2 and 20.3 of the instructor contract, Gaba can immediately terminate the contract. Your employer must also give you a written reason for your dismissal and contract non-renewal (if you ask). This can later be used in court to challenge a dismissal or contract non-renewal if you wish to take it that far. You are also protected against dismissal in the case of work related illness or maternity leave. The General Union has settled many unfair dismissal cases in the past. If you have been dismissed by GABA, or are worried about dismissal, contact the union today. Remember: the Labour Standards Law can go two years back. If you were dismissed within the last two years, without notice, please call the union.
