2月 18, 2006

The University’s unfair labour practices during our dispute over limited term contracts have been innumerable. Here are the main ones: – threatening Union members who distributed Union leaflets with contract non-renewal, in order to intimidate them into stopping Union activity – allowing the University staff union the use of an office, the right to post its information material on a notice board, and other facilities while refusing these to the General Union – spreading false allegations about the General Union, its strike actions, and its members – excluding Union members from proceedings for the election of a workers’ representative – going back on an agreement that, in the event of a change in job category, teachers’ employment could continue indefinitely Schedule of hearings March 7, 2006, 13:00-15:00 – examination of witnesses for the Union March 28, 2006, 13:00-15:00 – cross examination of witnesses for the Union April 27, 2006, 13:00-15:00 – examination of 2 witnesses for the University Hearings to be held at L Osaka in Temmabashi.
