Injured travelling to work?Injured at work?

Feb 2, 2009

It is often difficult for foreign workers to get information about this entitlement. It provides health care, benefits, and compensation for those injured in the course of their work, or travelling to and from work. Employers are required to enroll all employees on the scheme and there is no cost to you. To claim benefits it is important that you seek medical treatment from specially designated hospitals. Accidents do happen to teachers, both at work and while commuting. We have seen eikaiwa teachers at companies like NOVA and ECC injured in the workplace. If something happens to you, contact the union for more information on how to proceed.
