Halloween Costumes – Don’t pay for one!

Nov 20, 2011

Halloween event lessons start the sign up campaign for the new academic year. Schools want to impress potential customers. There is now a higher expectation on teachers to wear a costume. The union believes that the financial burden should not be left solely on the teacher. Some kind of allowance to cover the cost of costumes should be paid.

To gauge support for the idea the union conducted a survey. An overwhelming majority (85.2%) of teachers who took the survey support the union’s opinion.

The union will pursue a Halloween costume allowance for the new academic year.

Update

As a result of union pressure, ECC agreed teachers should not be financially burdened, and agreed to make customers available at all schools.  Contact us if there are no costumes at your school.
