The new agreement includes procedures for ECC and the General Union to meet every 3 months to discuss issues related to the management and operation of the Foreign Language Institute. Union members at ECC now have an extra voice to make suggestions on how to improve ECC practices. This new agreement will enable the union and ECC to focus on improving working conditions at collective bargaining. Workplace health and safety issues have been clarified with emergency evacuation maps to be placed in all Foreign Language Institute classrooms in the Chubu and Kinki districts.
